Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information RNB Associates ("Nodik", "we", "us") — a partnership firm constituted under the Indian Partnership Act, 1932, trading as SuperApps, having its principal place of business at NH-15, Darrang, Assam 784145, India — collects when you use the Nodik IoT platform at nodik.in, and how it is used. By using Nodik you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: your email address and authentication identifiers, provided when you sign up (via email/password or Google Sign-In).
• Device data: telemetry your devices send (sensor readings such as temperature, humidity, water level), device names, widget and alert configurations, command values, and connection metadata (e.g. signal strength, uptime).
• Notification data: if you enable push notifications, a push token for your browser or device.
• Technical data: standard logs generated by our hosting infrastructure (IP address, request timestamps) for security and reliability.
• Billing data: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, our merchant of record. Paddle.com Market Limited collects and processes your payment details directly — we never receive or store your card or bank details. From Paddle we receive only your subscription status, plan, billing email and country, which we use to activate your plan and provide support.

We do not use advertising trackers.

2. How we use it

• To operate the service: display your dashboards, store history, deliver commands to your devices, and send the alerts you configure.
• To provide AI features: when you use "Ask Nodik AI" or the AI Firmware Generator, relevant device data (recent readings, alert history, your question or project description) is sent to a third-party AI provider — Google (Gemini) or Anthropic (Claude) — solely to generate the response. This happens only when you actively use these features. Smart-alert anomaly detection runs on our servers using statistics only; it does not send data to AI providers.
• To secure the service: authentication, abuse prevention, and debugging.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties except the processors listed below.

3. Processors and infrastructure

• Google Firebase (Google LLC): authentication, database, hosting, cloud functions, and push notification delivery. Data is stored in Google Cloud regions (Firestore: asia-south1, Mumbai; Realtime Database: asia-southeast1, Singapore).
• Google Gemini / Anthropic Claude: AI responses, as described above.
• Email delivery provider: used only to send the alert emails you configure.
• Paddle.com Market Limited (merchant of record, United Kingdom): payment processing, tax calculation, invoicing, subscription management and refunds for paid plans. Paddle's privacy policy: paddle.com/legal/privacy

4. Data retention

Telemetry, history, and alert logs are retained while the device exists. Deleting a device permanently removes its data. Account data is retained until you request account deletion. Billing and tax records relating to paid subscriptions are retained by Paddle, and by us, for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law.

5. Your rights

You can access and export your data from the dashboard, delete individual devices at any time, and request full account deletion by contacting us — completed within 30 days. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights (access, correction, portability, erasure); we honor reasonable requests regardless of location.

6. Security

All traffic is encrypted (TLS). Access is isolated per account by server-side security rules. Device tokens are stored only as cryptographic hashes. No system is perfectly secure; use a strong password and keep device tokens private.

7. Children

Nodik is suitable for students but not directed at children under 13. If you are under the age required to consent to data processing in your country, use Nodik with a parent's or school's supervision.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as Nodik evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
