Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of the Nodik IoT platform at nodik.in ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.

1. The Service

Nodik lets you connect microcontroller devices to a cloud dashboard for monitoring, control, history, alerts, and AI-assisted features. The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (see Section 8 and the current pricing in the app).

2. Your account

• You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter this agreement (minors: with parent/guardian or institutional supervision).
• Keep device tokens confidential — anyone with a token can send data as that device.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse the Service to send abusive traffic or attempt to access other users' data; use it for unlawful purposes; attempt to reverse the security rules or extract API keys; resell the Service without permission; or use AI features to generate harmful content.

5. AI features

AI-generated answers and firmware are produced by machine-learning models and may contain errors. Review generated code before flashing it to hardware, especially anything controlling physical equipment. You are responsible for what you deploy.

6. Your data and content

You retain ownership of the data your devices send and configurations you create. You grant us the limited license needed to store and process it to operate the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without uptime guarantees. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features; for material reductions we will give reasonable notice where practical. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Billing, cancellation & refunds

• Billing: Paid subscriptions (monthly or annual) are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle, which handles payment, applicable taxes, and invoicing. Prices are listed in USD and may be shown in your local currency at checkout.
• Cancellation: You can cancel any time via the link in your Paddle receipt email or by contacting us. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period; you will not be charged again. No partial-period refunds are owed on cancellation, subject to the guarantee below.
• 14-day money-back guarantee: If you are not satisfied with your first purchase of a paid plan (monthly or annual), contact us within 14 days of payment for a full refund — no questions asked.
• Renewals: If a renewal charge was unintended, contact us within 14 days of the charge and, provided the service has not been substantially used in the new period, we will refund it.
• Processing: Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.
• Refund requests: hello@superappsdomain.com (include your account email). Abuse of the refund policy (e.g. repeated purchase-refund cycles) may result in refusal.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including loss of data, profits, crops, livestock, or equipment — arising from use or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (currently zero for free accounts).

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Service in violation of these terms or applicable law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
